THE FOUNDERS
We became those travelers

Our journey began more than three decades ago—not with a business plan, but with curiosity. A relentless pursuit of refinement. From Armenia to Greece, from Argentina to Australia, from the old cellars of France to the sunlit coasts of Spain and Italy—we immersed ourselves in cultures where wine is not simply consumed, but lived.
Every region had its own truth. Its own identity. Its own version of perfection.
And yet, a question remained—
What if all of it could exist in one place?
Long before Belvedere was imagined, there was a kitchen. A table. A circle of friends and family. Cooking, tasting, experimenting—this was never a profession, but a lifelong ritual. Over the years, food became not just nourishment, but expression. A language of care. A way to gather, to celebrate, to belong.
Opening a restaurant was never the intention. It is, after all, a serious commitment—one that demands not only discipline, but devotion.
But something shifted after COVID.
We felt the absence of spaces where people could truly come together. Not just to dine—but to reconnect. To slow down. To feel present again. Glendale, with its rich and diverse community, deserved more than just places to eat. It deserved places to experience.
And so, Belvedere was born.
A name derived from Italian—”beautiful view”—historically used to describe the finest, most elevated part of a building. The place where perspective changes. Where everything comes together.
That became our philosophy.
Belvedere is not a restaurant.
It is a curated experience—shaped by decades of travel, taste, and tradition.
A Greek–Mediterranean California fusion kitchen that reflects the spirit of our community. A place where food, wine, and music exist in harmony—because true hospitality is never one-dimensional.
THE PHILOSOPHY
Wine is not a product. It is a lifestyle.
It is a conversation. It is a memory. It is a connection.
Everywhere we traveled, we saw the same truth:
when wine, food, and music come together—communities come alive.
In a post-COVID world, that feeling is no longer optional.
It is essential.
Belvedere exists to bring that feeling back.
Not as a concept.
But as a living, breathing experience—where every detail, every sound, every taste has been carefully chosen to offer something rare:
A place where you don’t just visit.
You belong.
THE CUISINE
There is one rule we never compromise:
quality is absolute.
But exceptional cuisine goes beyond ingredients. It requires vision.
Our kitchen is the result of 30 years of experience—of collecting flavors, techniques, and traditions from around the world, then refining them into something cohesive, something distinctly ours.
Because pairing food with wine is not technical—it is emotional.
Every dish is created with balance in mind. Texture, structure, presentation—each element is considered. The layers on the plate, the proportions, the composition—it all matters.
Our cuisine is a fusion of authentic Mediterranean heritage and contemporary California influence. A reflection of Glendale itself—diverse, expressive, evolving.
Even the simplest elements are treated with intention. Our salads are designed to preserve the natural integrity of each ingredient—fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully combined. Nothing is masked. Everything is enhanced.
And our main courses—
they are not just prepared. They are composed.
THE MUSIC
Excellence begins where most people
do not look—sound.
In many places, music is either intrusive or forgettable. Rarely does it become part of the atmosphere itself. Something you feel without effort. Something that complements rather than competes.
We set out to create that rarity.
Before a single note was played, we engineered the space—acoustics, stage, balance—meeting the standards of professional performance halls. Because ambiance is not accidental. It is designed.
Then came the musicians.
Under the artistic direction of internationally recognized Armenian composer Armen Martirosyan, a dedicated jazz ensemble was formed exclusively for Belvedere. Each performance is intentional. Refined. Alive.
Music here does not fill the space.
It elevates it.
